The Nokia E70 looks like any other Nokia candybar phones at first glance.
What makes this design special is that the numeric pad can be flipped open to reveal a split QWERTY keypad. The screen will even changed from portrait to landscape view, indicating the correct way the device is to be held.
This tri-band 3G ready Nokia comes with bluetooth, infrared, 802.11g wireless, USB and Symbian OS with 64mb internal memory. Memory can be expanded with miniSD cards. It even supports VOIP calls and Blackberry Connect!
On the flip side, battery life is only average at best, the joystick is fiddly, it has only one camera, making video calls a one-sided affair and the miniSD card slot is hidden beneath the battery cover, making it inconvenient if you need to change cards often.
This phone is great for Blackberry fans who wants the Blackberry features minus the usual form factor. It also provides users looking for a design distinctively different from conventional phones.
