This week Google launched browser extensions for Chrome for users that have devices based on Windows and Linux operating system. It is expected that Google will bring extensions for Mac developer channel by the end of this week and as for beta users, they will have to wait for extensions till the first months of 2010.

Chrome extensions are considered to be little gadgets that are found on your toolbar and extend the functionality of your browser. Nowadays more than hundreds of extensions can be found for Chrome, such as a Gmail notifier, ad blocker, Google Wave notifier, ChromeMilk (Remember the Milk widget), and Chromed Bird (the Chrome equivalent of Echofon, aka TwitterFox). Also check out some of Online Money Making In Chrome . .

If you want to try Chrome extensions but do not want to wait for them when they become available, you have to know that you can sign up for the developer version of Chrome for Mac but in this case you will need to remount the browser. Chromium includes bookmark syncing but it is unavailable at the moment in Chrome for Mac beta.

But due to extensions the working process of browsing can become slower. Nowadays one can find a big number of Chrome extensions that are available. It is expected that Google Goggles that was recently launched will soon be available for users.

Linux – robust , rugged , reliable , and highly user-unfriendly . If you are even remotely new to this open source OS , you need all the help you can possibly get find it all here ,

Handling Your Document :

If you want to change the way certain file types are viewed , edited or manipulated , you can do so from the document handler section in the Gnome Control center . The default editor option for intense , will allow you to specify your default editor , while working with editor of any sort . When you click on the files associated with editing or text , the select editor will open up automatically .

Using the Wondow Shortcuts of your keyboard :

You can configure KDE to use the window key . To do this , you will have to configure your X server using Xmodemap, to link keycodes for those extra keys to useful X functions . The first step involves creating a file Xmodmap in the home directory. Use a text editor , and add the following entries :

  Keycode 115 = F13
Keycode 117 = F15

This is done assuming that you have the standard keyboard mapping. To check the actual codes for your keyboard layout, use the command xev. Then type the command, ‘xmodmap~/.Xmodmap’ . The result is that it will assign [F13] to the start key in the key board and [f15] to windows Key. Now open the KDE Control Center and go to Shortcut Key > Global Shortcut . Set[F13] to pop-up the system menu, and [f15] to windows operation menu

Powerpoint XP has finally added the print preview facility . You can use this to preview slides before printing . This option was not present in the earlier version .

Creating Alternative layouts in Word :

You now have the power to create a alternative layout (for making handouts ) in word , which are not available in power point XP . You can do this by exporting this slide to word through the sendTo option . From the file menu , choose the SendTo option , click microsoft word and then select the layout option . For example , if you want to print three slides per page but don’t want lines for audience notes, send the handout to word , choose the blank line next to the slide option , and delete the lines in word . Choose any layout the suites your requirement and export the slides to word. You can also make the necessary addition and deletions to the handout in word .

As we all know that Gmail introduced its newer version of its email service , but the point to be noted is that its new interface is quite heavy in loading, and it take long time to load the Inbox, and those who have slow internet speed so it creates much more problem for them while loading inbox. Now the question is that how can we make it possible that this issue will be solved easily . So if you peoples want your inbox to be load fast or in other words you want to see your mails ass soon as possible , then there is a very small solution by which you can view your mails while a loading page shows and this can only be done by the feature name Inbox Preview which is newly introduced by Gmail Labs. Now i am going to tell you the steps how you can make it possible.

First you just go to Settings and the Option exist under the Settings name as “Labs” go to Labs section . Now next you just have to enable the feature name “Inbox Preview” that’s it and finally you have done it . But the mails will not view while loading initially , as you sign in again to your Gmail next time the inbox preview will be visible while loading. The important thing which i am going to tell you that the inbox preview is just a preview of your mail box it’s not like that you can access your mails on preview and its just an exclusive feature which was introduce by the Google Labs, so that you will not wait for the inbox to be loaded fully and you can preview your emails while loading and surely this will be so much helpful for those who have slow Internet Speed

nternet Explorer 8 is the newest and an exclusive version as compare to previous all versions of IE. This version of IE come up with nice and very good features like favorite websites whenever you open new tab and it’s private browsing feature and lots of many more features increasing its rank among the previous all versions of IE. As we used all versions of IE and there is a common thing in all the version that its LINK toolbar, where you can just drag a website to the toolbar and make it available through one click easy access to all .But as we noticed that we can just see only 5 to 6 website links on toolbar just cause of it acquire a space on toolbar . So we can do in order to show more links on toolbar .

Just Open Internet Explorer and just right click on the icon and pulling up to the context menu. Be careful about that you click on the icon and not onto the toolbar.
Now expand the option name “Customize Title Widths” and select Icons instead of icons you may also select Short Titles if you want to obtain the previous setting and want to show the whole Text Label. but you will make them small.
That’s all you have finally done it and you can add much more icons of your favorite websites on the Link Toolbar .

As we used MS-Office so there are numbers of third party add-ins available for MS-Office to manage these add-ins is not so easy and it’s totally depend on the software which you are using to manage them. Well today i am here with the new application by Topalt termed as “ EnableDisable” its a free application to download which will really help you to manage your Office add-ins where you can easily enable or disable the Office add-ins without any risk. Actually the more add-ins you use for MS Office will slow the performance of Office in result , so its quite useful to disable the add-ins while you are not using in MS Office and whenever you need to use it you just enable it through EnableDisable application.

As you are going to use this application you will come to see that it will open in different numbers of tabs like Access, Excel, Outlook and etc etc as you seen in the above picture and there is nothing to do anything hard in order to Disable any add-ins you just uncheck it and in reverse if you want to enable it just check them. As you seen it also tell either the add-ins is on Startup or its on Demand that’s all. Enjoy this cool and easiest application .!!!

Virtual Network Computing is basically a server and a viewer. But the VNC remote display is fundamentally different from multi user technology. The communication is via TCP / IP on a single socket, the internet is not a problem and provided the firewall on the computer allows it. VNC works well and it employs several techniques to minimize network traffic as it transfers graphical information. The beneficial part of this VNC is that all remote users including the administrator see the same thing. Security has been a major concern in networking as data can be hacked or there are chances of unauthorized access. But the major advantage of the Virtual Network Connection is that it needs a password to make a connection. And the password is never transmitted over the network. the reason why the password is not transmitted is that VNC uses Challenge response Scheme for authentication. So VNC is completely secured and highly useful in communication aspects of technology.

Opera Software released Opera 10 today, a major update to its desktop browser featuring built-in page compression and a revamped tab bar that automatically shows thumbnails of open pages.

The free browser can be downloaded for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux in more than 40 languages from the Oslo, Norway-based company’s Web site. The browser works in Snow Leopard, Apple’s newest operating system.

Opera Turbo, the name for the browser’s on-the-fly compression engine, can speed up slow connections, such as ancient dial-up or balky broadband, said the company, claiming that its tests shows an eight-fold performance improvement over rival browsers. “Opera Turbo is our newest innovation, and one we think everyone should try, because we all will face a slow connection at some point,” Jon von Tetzchner, Opera’s CEO, said in a statement today.
At the top of the visible change chart is a retooled tab bar, which can be resized with a click and drag. More importantly, Opera displays thumbnails of each tab’s contents. Users can also move the tab bar to the side of the browser window — ideal for wide-screen monitors — rather than leave it at the default top position.

One of the most notable missing pieces in the update is Opera Unite, a technology platform introduced in mid-June that adds a compact Web server to Opera and lets users share files, photos and music without using third-party peer-to-peer services. Opera Unite remains in the company’s labs, and although it requires Opera 10, it has not yet been baked into the browser.

There are some other notebook gadgets as well, with the ARM processors inside, being considered as smartbooks.

Now Sony Ericsson is reportedly working on a Smartbook. It is however, not yet known whether it would be an ARM, Qualcomm or any other non-intel processor. It seems that these mobile processors including NVIDIA Tegra are going to give Intel a tough time in the Atom market. Because they are already doing well in the mobile gadgets.

Sony Ericsson Smartbook will have an always-on 3G connectivity, slick design and an optimized ultra portability. It Seems a good concept but unfortunately no more details are known yet, we’ll have to wait!
